2009 here we come!

The New Year is a time of reflection and for charting ambitions for the upcoming year. Many were glad to be done with 2008, but for us....2008 was a pretty amazing year. Our little cupcake was born, we bought a new house...those were our big highlights! While some people create New Years Resolutions, we don't really do that. Goals? Well, we have some of those. But then again, we always do! Beth is hoping to work hard and complete her MBA program this year and Taylor has registered for the HyVee Triathlon and has put in his application for the Leadville 100. Those are just a couple of things that we have in the works.

The holidays were really great this year for us and we enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  For those of you who were a part of our lives in 2008, thank you for your great friendship!

As you can see, despite winter conditions Taylor has been getting out and riding and is starting to train for 2009. We are really excited as we
recently acquired some snowshoes to enjoy the snow. Wouldn't you know it, we lost all of the snow that would have been good for snowshoeing! So, we are hoping for snow in the forecast again.

Cupcake just turned 9 months old! She is really doing a lot of things now to keep us busy. She is crawling and is pulling up on things like mad. She is quick to get to her knees, and has even got up to her feet a couple of times when she sees something she really wants (Beth's cell phone). At her check up, she is now 15 lbs 7 oz and 27.5 inches long. That puts her about the 5-10th percentile for weight (still a petite little angel) and 50th for height. She now has 6 teeth that have poked through and we think she is working on a couple more!

Wishing you all the best this upcoming year...let's make 2009 another great year!
